     The District holds water rights from the State of Texas, administered by TCEQ. TCEQ Certificate of Adjudication No. A843-000 authorizes the District to divert a maximum quantity of water of 33,949.45 acre-feet of Class A irrigation water per year, if allocated to the District. In addition, TCEQ Certificate of Adjudication No. M843-000 authorizes the District the use of 3,834.000 acre-feet of water per year for municipal purposes.

     The District is approximately 20,000 acres (31.25 sq miles) with off channel storage of 2000 acre-feet, in resacas. The conveyance system has 110 miles of underground pipeline that delivers water to the fields by 14 inch alfalfa valves. There are 3 pumps at the river, two 45 cfs and one 80 cfs, that deliver water to the resacas. The water is delivered to the field through pipeline by 12 pump stations located on the resaca banks throughout the District.
